OPERATIVE hydroSensus

Operative hydroSenus is a mobile buoyant pod for water monitoring and remediation. Combining high- and low-end technology, it operates as constructed wetland, aquaponic farm, monitoring station, and communication platform, addressing site-specific requirements. The project aspires to establish a mutually responsive interface between water and local communities, focused on water related concerns.

The pod is composed of a sensory core and a site-specific periphery constructed of locally available materials, undertaking different programs depending on the different water conditions. When interlocked with neighbor-pods, temporary land is created. Each Pod will be equipped with sensory and communication systems, allowing it to measure and report oxygen levels, pollutant contents of the water, density of living organisms etc.
