PUBLIC STAGES

Developing a design mechanism that would create openly accessible urban spaces, allowing greater public claim by negotiating site ownership, program and access. The mechanism is tested on 4 sites: Secaucus, New Jersey; Newtown Creek, Queens-Brooklyn; Clinton West, Manhattan; Jamaica Queens.
PUBLIC STAGES is a studio project designed with Gabriella Folion, Manuel Avila and Matt Thomas in the Urban Design Studio at Columbia GSAPP.
